This Privacy Policy explains how PostalAnnex of Gig Harbor, operated by Goodnight and Goodwill LLC ("PostalAnnex of Gig Harbor," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit postalannexgigharbor.com (the "Site"), place an order, schedule an appointment, or use our in-store and online services. We are an independently owned and operated franchise location (#19004, Annex Brands, Inc.).
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information collected automatically, and information from service providers who help us run the business.
Information you provide. When you place a print order, request a quote, book a notary or passport appointment, rent a mailbox, or contact us, you may give us:
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number, and mailing or billing address.
- Order and service details — files you upload for printing, package and shipment information, recipient addresses, and the services you request.
- Identity and verification information where the law requires it — for example, government-issued ID for notarizations, USPS Form 1583 and two forms of ID for private mailbox rental, and the information needed to assist with passport applications.
- Payment information — when you pay online, your card details are entered directly with our payment processor (Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Site we may collect standard technical data such as your device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. We use essential cookies to make the Site work (for example, to keep a session active). We do not currently use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies; if that ever changes, we will update this policy first.
How we use your information
- To provide the services you ask for — fulfilling print orders, generating shipping labels, scheduling and performing notary and passport services, and managing mailbox rentals.
- To process payments and send receipts, order confirmations, and renewal or appointment reminders.
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site and our services, and to prevent fraud or misuse.
- To comply with legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations — including notary journals and mailbox records required by law.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the business or as required by law, including with:
- Payment processing — Stripe, Inc., to securely process card payments.
- Shipping carriers — UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL, to create labels and deliver your shipments. The information you provide for a shipment is shared with the carrier you select and is subject to that carrier's terms.
- Service and technology providers — our website hosting, database, email delivery, and appointment-scheduling vendors, who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety — government agencies or others when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, the public, or our business. Private mailbox records and notary journals may be disclosed where the law requires.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Payments
Online payments are processed by Stripe. When you check out, your card information is transmitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection. We receive only a confirmation of payment and limited details (such as the last four digits and card brand) needed to identify the transaction. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Notary journals, mailbox application records (Form 1583), and transaction records are retained for the periods required by applicable law. Uploaded print files are retained only as long as needed to complete your order and for a reasonable period afterward in case you reorder.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit for online payments and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to those who need it to serve you.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
- You can opt out of marketing or promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those messages. We will still send transactional messages related to your orders, appointments, and mailbox.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (such as the Washington My Health My Data Act or other applicable laws). To exercise any right, contact us using the details below and we will respond as required by law.
Children's privacy
Our Site and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
